Pie Tip: Apple Peeling



The reason why pies are so special is because of all the steps it takes to make them...like peeling apples for instance. There are a lot of contraptions invented for this purpose but the one I like the most is something I like to call a knife. But not just any knife, this one with the curved blade is awesome. You just keep constant pressure with the broad side of the blade against the apple as the sharp part of the knife peels off the skin. It takes a few times to get used to but by the third apple you'll be a pro.
