Pie Lovers Should Love Mayor Lee!

These are photos of some of the fruit that I grow in my garden...Fruit that I use in my pies! What does the Mayor, my garden and my pie cart have in common? Well, in May, The Urban Agriculture Zoning Ordinance was approved by The Board of Supervisors and signed by Mayor Lee.

This ordinance allows gardeners to sell their produce-or the products they make from their produce-- to be sold anywhere in the city that is not a "residential district".

What does this mean to people who enjoy Pie Fridays? It means when big, mean restaurants call the police on me and they come and ask if I have a permit I get to say that I don't need one and that what I'm doing is legal.

Thank you Board of Supervisors (who voted unanimously by the way) to pass this ordinance, thanks to the supporters of the ordinance and thanks to Mayor Lee. I know he's not flashy like Newsom was but let's vote for him if he runs again.
